Rick (tall shaved head goatee dude) and crew were so good to us. We were the last table of the night and they still served us with big smiles on their faces. We totally knew he and the cook wanted to shut the restaurant down since we came in just before they closed. We were starved after driving all day and heading to an area where there was no food. We LOVED our burgers. They were super good. This place is right on the water. It looks like a GREAT place to go during the warm days of sunshine.

There were not may choices in Cooper's landing for dinner in September so we ate here. Food was agreeable but prices, all of Alaska I guess, were high. Prob 50% higher than comparable places in the lower 48.

Don't even know where to begin! Quality ingredients blended together to perfection, amazing view, beautiful art, wonderful music regularly, and a really awesome local staff. This is definitely my go-to spot for a good time when I visit. =]

The interior decor was truly one of kind and the view was magnificent from the outside seating. However, we waited a LONG time for the waitress to just receive our orders and drinks. The food was great but a bit over priced.

This roadside place was a surprise because the food was the most gourmet we found on the peninsula! Everything on the menu had a bit of a shake-up; not just chicken pot pie but curry chicken pot pie. Staff was very friendly and while the cost was a few dollars more than other places we felt it was worth it! Would absolutely return.

Best meal of 2014 for me. Totally unassuming name and building, but delicious, upscale dishes. Amazing view of the river outside from the semi-enclosed deck. Smoking is allowed, but it was rather unpopulated when we went so it wasn't an issue. Fresh, seasonal dishes and fantastic pastas that are mouthwatering. Made me miss summer, fly fishing, and the Kenai all year round.

My husband and I stopped here after a long weekend fishing and camping on our way home. I have to say it was an over all great experience! The restaurant and view is gorgeous, especially the outside sun room seating. They had a good local beer selection and also one of my favorite Sauvignon blancs in their wine selection. We ordered the venison tacos, meat ball sandwich and a caesar salad all to share. They were great! Don't be fooled by the entrance to the restaurant as it looks a little run down, the menu was so refreshing to read. Super unique recipes, a lot of pickling of in house items and all made with fresh ingredients. My husband is a chef and we are definitely a foodie couple and we were super impressed with the small inventive menu. Our server was super friendly and on top of keeping our drinks filled. We will definitely be back again when we find ourselves heading towards the Kenai.

Love, love, love. I wish I could live here, like seriously the decor and view are just that amazing. Besides that, friendly and fast service and the food... Best I've had in Alaska yet! So fresh and delicious, they really know what they're doing in that kitchen. I could not recommend this place more.

Ate here with my Dad while vacationing on the Kenai Peninsula. We had the Marsala pasta with reindeer sausage. The week before we ate at the amazing reindeer hotdog stand that's also owned by Kingfisher Roadhouse. Both meals were some of the best food we had while visiting Alaska! I'd go back there just for the food! This place was truly a welcome sight as they are open late and we lost all track of mealtimes due to the midnight sun.

We sat on the back patio- what a view! Everything was great, the food the beer and atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

Awesome place with great food and an even better view. The only thing I don't like about this place, and why I give 4 stars instead of 5, is because this restaurant is only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and it's hours are only from 3-10. This place is too good to only be open so few months out of the year. My only gripe but it's a big one.

Not a seafood place. Menu is very limited (mainly burgers and pasta). Food was OK, but staff was kind of rude...

This place is worth it for the view of the river alone. The staff was friendly and after several days of scrounging for food between bouts of fishing, sitting down in a real restaurant for a real dinner was great. The menu is small, but has a good variety of options and the beer/wine selection was decent. Also, bonus points for being open until 10:30, which is helpful when you don't stop fishing until 9 and realize you haven't eaten since breakfast.

Refined palettes beware. We ended up here while staying in Coopers Landing and in need of a good place to have dinner. I ended up ordering 2 small dishes as my meal and my wife got the only salmon entree. My "smoked salmon" and crackers was a gross bowl of jelly over what looks and tastes like a canned mystery meat. The crackers were literally straight up saltine crackers. I've had good smoked salmon and crackers before and this definitely wasn't in the ballpark. The only saving grace was the salmon chowder, which was quite good. The salmon entree my wife had was a medley of greek and curry spices- a failed attempt at creative eating. The salmon was also not thoroughly cooked in the middle. Way overpriced for mediocre cooking. Come fish out here, but then take your fish and leave!

Fantastic place in a beautiful setting. Great burger, good beer to wash it down. The fact is that it happens to be one of a few restaurants in a small tourist area, yet they don't phone it in and quality is too notch.

Food good. Presentation good. Portion size : very small. Ergo overpriced. My salmon dinner size of appetizer. Ceviche appetizer was sparse on fish. Why is it so hard to get a fish meal in Alaska???

Once of the best meals on the Kenai peninsula. Grab a table out back and enjoy a tremendous view! I had the scallops and they were fresh and very tasty!

I don't award 5 stars often but this place is well worth it. Great food, good drinks, incredible view and excellent service. What else can you ask for.

We decided to have our anniversary dinner here after reading the reviews...big mistake! We had to sit at a table with a couple of arguing fishermen, they KNEW it was our anniversary and were rude when we said we just wanted to take our meal a little slowly. The calamari was just a handful chunked onto a dinner plate. Our waitress was extremely put off that we wanted appetizer plates. My shrimp scampi special was bland and cold and immediately returned to the kitchen. My husband, who is far more tolerant, paid the ridiculous $30 for a steak the size of a deck of cards that was cooked to well done 3/4 of the way through and medium on the other half when it was requested medium rare. Bottom line: Rude, rushed service and terrible food!

Great view of Kenai Lake. OK restaurant. Service was just ok. Not many choices here. Go up to the Princess Lodge and have a good meal with good service...but pricey.

Absolutely the best meal I've ever had in Alaska. The white salmon was melt-in-your-mouth incredible! And the dessert was an amazing creation by the on-site chef: sourdough bread slices soaked in creme brulee then lightly pan seared, topped with a sauce of strawberry pieces marinated in orange liqueur and mint. This is a MUST stop for anyone traveling through the Kenai Peninsula! (And the view of the Kenai River with the mountain backdrop is icing on the cake!)
