After my first experience here, I gave it three stars...deleted that this morning because I didn't want to give them that much credit or encourage anyone to go there. Went there last night and giving them one star is being too nice. First, the wait - absolutely ridiculous!!! We were heading to the movie and wanted to grab a bite to eat first (my wife hadn't been there). Several others were doing the same - we waited and waited and waited and waited. When the food came, the wings were overcooked and dry and the sliders were well done hockey pucks. I took the sliders back with the promise that they'd cook new ones and get them to us quickly - they didn't...had to sneak them into the movie and they were STILL overcooked. But hey, at least we got our food. Several others didn't and had to get refunds because they had to get to their movie. One lady, who was waiting for take out, mentioned that she wished she had a copy of War and Peace, becuase she could've gotten halfway through it while she was waiting. Horrible, horrible experience!!!!!!!!

These wings were great! I ordered the BBQ wings and was very happy with my choice. The wings were cooked perfectly as the outside was crispy and the inside was tender and juicy. Their BBQ sauce was very tasty and I was lucky enough to get to try a house made blue-cheese that they were testing out that was fantastic. I also had an order of fries that were delicious and reminded me or Arby's curly fries. The customer service was really on point as well as the restaurant owner was even running around making sure that everyone was taken care of and happy. I would definitely recommend trying out Wild Wings n' Things with a friend as I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Best wings in Anchorage! Staff is nice, but it can get loud inside. Awesome fries.

Really good wings and fries, and I had a bite of my sister's Philly cheesesteak from here and it was really good. The owner seems really nice and genuinely ready to assist with anything you might need to enjoy your experience at his restaurant (is the vibe I got). The worst thing I can say about this place is they forgot to give me a ranch with my meal, but then again maybe I just forgot to order it. Definitely will be going back.

Pros: friendly staff, great location. Cons: cold breeze, limited seating, LOUD reggae music (which is a waste of a big screen tv) Ordered the sliders, they were ok but could be A LOT better. The price of the sliders makes you expect gourmet but what I got was basic. The burgers were smaller than the buns, barely warm, and didn't even really feature the sauce much at all. A shame really. The boneless wings were ok, a little crunchy. Sucks that you have to pay for dipping sauce though, especially with how overpriced the food already is. My wife was craving frickles (fried pickles) so we got an order of them as well. These were a let down...garlic pickle spears in an unseasoned batter. Good consistency but they would be much better as slices or chips instead of spears. Don't order garlic Parmesan chicken strips unless what you really want is chicken strips drenched in hot sauce sprinkled with stale Parmesan cheese. One last mention...they have mellow yellow!!! But it tastes funny :( I really hope they read this and make a few changes, I left them a comment card saying this same stuff. If they do, we would make this a regular weekend stop. Right now though, BWW is a much better option.

The wings were dry and boney. Not much meat on it at all. The sauce only covered the top four wings and the wings were cold. Customer service was bad too. Brought our sandwich out and 10 mins later he brought out the fries. That's after we waited 25 mins for 10 wings and a sandwich. Basically the place sucks!!

My family and I ate here tonight. The wings & fried pickles were great. But my wife's sliders were cold, the patties were hard and the cheese cold.

By far the best Philly I've ever had...and I'm definitely not usually a fan of them.but after taking a bite of my husbands I thought about ordering one for myself even tho I had already ordered wings which btw were.cooked to perfection and very tasty. I would definitely recommend trying this place out!

Food was slow, which I could forgive if it was good, but the chicken sandwich I ordered was over cooked and dry. Our order had to be changed three times because they said they had corn dogs then came back they didn't then again said they found one. For the price there are better places to eat. One of the staff was walking around with headphones in her ears.

This place is good if you want informal, good food at a decent place. The owner actually talked to us as we were finishing and asked us how everything was. We learned that many sauces and the ranch and blue cheese dressings are made here in house, not from a giant bottle. Good food in a convenient place.

Every experience I have here is absolutely wonderful. Staff is polite and food is always delicious. Good place to grab a quick lunch. Homemade sauces. Can't go wrong with this place. Definitely will come back as long as they're open!

Fryer oil was NOT replaced - you can just tell when the wings taste a little funny that the oil is brown... Service was really good! It's a WING PLACE. I'm a wing GUY. Use clean oil. Really. I really don't need to give them my business. It seems they don't care.

Nothing special but I like the wings and the fries are good. They have a punch card you can use. They also serve Alaskan beer.

I am so disappointed with this place. I have been here around 7 times or so and the only time they have ever gotten our order correct is when we sit in there and eat. Every single time we order for pick up its wrong, we order sweet potato fries and pay extra and we get regular fries. It's like they almost do it on purpose. I repeat multiple times exactly what I want on the phone, why is it that hard to get it right? I feel it is a bit over priced honestly, but this is Alaska so I guess it's to be expected. The food is usually good (when we get what we ordered anyways) I don't have any complaints there. There have been times where my fries were over cooked or sometimes my boneless wings were a little over done. This last time I noticed a yellow color to my wings and I don't deep fry so I don't know that that is something normal for deep fried items or not but I had never noticed it before. The inside is usually nice and clean, it's kind of small (so a giant party probably wouldn't have a good time here) it has patriotic type of things all over the walls as well. The staff is usually nice. I didn't have a good experience with my last visit, he wasn't rude but he definitely was being patronizing. I asked for 3 cups of sauce and he didn't put any in. I had to go back in and tell him I needed the sauces (my husband dips his wings in the sauce instead of having them on the wings) so I needed the sauce. I made that really clear and when I went back in he says "Oh no" but in a very sarcastic way and then just gives me two cups and I didn't even bother I just left. I also always end up waiting for my food as well, even if I call it in. I've gone in one or two times and my food hadn't even been started and I waited 20-25 minutes. Unless you go in around a dead time it'll be busy. Over all the food is good but I only eat here now when my husband really just wants wings. I don't have the patients to deal with incorrect orders and waiting (over 20 minutes) when I had called my order in 15 minutes earlier. I hope if you try this place that your experience with it will be much better than mine has been.

No complaints! I was hesitant about eating here since I'm not a wings type of gal but there were so many other delicious options. The menu had my mouth watering. After eating here I was surprised about the negative reviews. The place place itself seems very patriotic. A cool hangout spot to grab some wings and some nice music on the background, mostly oldies. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich and some sweet potato fries. The sandwich was excellent and tasted very fresh. I was hoping it would have more marinara but I was willing to overlook it. The sweet potato fries were delicious, tasted fresh, and we're nice and crunchy on the outside! You also get a pretty generous amount. I felt so welcomed here! The older lady behind the counter was a hoot and she made us feel right at home. Will definitely be coming back.

Great food! Love their potato salad, okra, and fried pickle spears! I've never had their wings but my husband likes them. They home make their own ranch which is yummy. The owners are super nice and eccentric (in a good way). A definite recommended place to eat if you're in the area.

I like to order their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, so I can't comment on the wings. The sandwich is very delicious and is LOADED with meat and veggies. The seasoned fries are delicious, but they will substitute the fries for a salad if you request. Their salads are not just lettuce, and I find them very fulfilling. They are located next to the Tikhatnu movie theater which makes it the perfect place for a dinner/lunch date. The place is usually clean, but if it's not, the server will clean your table. So, what are the negatives.... Well, the location is really small, so you will find your self sitting with strangers or seeing a booth for 8 being wasted on two people who will sit for hours. I would strongly recommend not showing up 30 minutes before a blockbuster movie is about to show on the weekend of an opening night. You'll never find a place to sit! Other than that, I think it's a pretty decent place for a locally owned and ran location. Their theme is the Air Force, so the memorabilia is nice to look at.

I just want to be honest with you. It's as if Pizza Huts Wing Street became stand-alone business. The wings are fine, the sauces are okay. But they are very, very similar to every corperate pizza joint you can order wings from. Honest truth its about a $1 per wing... and they look/taste like their from Pizza Hut.

This is one of my favorite places by far! I have always had excellent service and have been coming back when they had military discount. That's why I was bummed when I called to make a simple take out order. I planned on only getting 2 orders of funnel fries (because they're delicious and how else do you celebrate finishing a test and paper in a tough class?) They were quick to respond and once I asked to put in an order for pick up the lady asked me to hold. I then sat on hold for 20 minutes until I decided to hang up. Not once did anyone pick up to recognize I was still on hold or anything. I kept waiting because I was still in town running errands but by the 20 minute mark I was so bummed out that I hung up and just chose to get some fried ice cream at another place. This was the first time I've had anything other than a 5 star experience with them and that saddens me!

This place was not that great, small portions and pretty cheap for the price. We got 10 wings and 3 mini sliders. They tasted ok, but they were all small... I guess 10-20% smaller than other wings and sliders. At least we can be hopeful that the wings are non-gmo :/
(2)Joe G.
Keeping it short: Philly cheese was pretty good Loved the fries (best part) Corn dog was just a corn dog but cost $3.45 I didn't enjoy the wings and won't be getting them again I may come back but I can't really recommend the place.

When Wild Wings opened, I thought it was really good in part thanks to how meaty the wings were. However, I visited both last weekend and today and was really disappointed in how tiny the wings are now. They're tiny, as small as I've ever seen anywhere. I've had hard boiled eggs with more fully developed wings. Until I hear things have changed, I'll be skipping Wild Wings.

Placed an order for takeout. The lady at the front counter was very friendly and helpful. We waited about 20 min. We ordered 20 pc. wings; garlic Parmesan and sonic boom flavors. The garlic Parmesan wings were not good. Had an off flavor I couldn't place. The sonic boom wings had good heat and were much better compared to the other flavor. The wings were minuscule in size; about the size of my husband's thumb. We also got an order of the fried mac & cheese. They were ok, I scalded my mouth trying one on the drive home. I'm guessing they're the ones that are sold in Costco.

Second time coming and still not satisfied. The wings are not all that and they are small. Everything is fried to long and not drained well. Got the sampler and wasn't satisfied with what was served to me. This is my last time coming.

I decided to give this place a try because there aren't a whole lot of options for wings in anchorage. I ordered garlic Parmesan wings and onion rings to go. The cashier told me it would be 10 minutes or less for the food to be ready so that sounded great. After waiting for 20 minutes my order was ready and the waitress served it to me in baskets instead of in a to go box. My wings were just buffalo wings with a little bit of Parmesan cheese on them and the onion rings were flavorless and tasted like fryer oil. I don't recommend this place at all and I would much rather go to winkys wings instead

I haven't found a good wing place in Alaska yet, until I came here! Fast service, tasty boneless wings, average seasoned fries but they were still excellent. Good snack or late night place to go. Will return again, very impressed
(5)Josh W.
About a year ago this place was good. It was on our list to come back to when we visited again. Well it is horrible. The wings were hardly bigger than my pinky. They are also just wings from Costco. We watched them get the delivery. Best advice would be to go somewhere else or just go buy the wings at Costco yourself. I will never come back. I would be embarrassed to serve wings they served. I wish I took a picture.

Finally time for a review on this place, eh? I'm a VERY frequent customer to this establishment (weekly to by-weekly). Every time we come, we immediately get greeted with the most welcoming gestures. The staff is always friendly and definitely makes you feel welcome. Timeliness is always a plus for any type of business. These guys will get you in and out within the hour you have for your lunch break. They move quick, but that has never compromised the quality of the food. As far as the wings go; OUTSTANDING. The wings are always perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside, juicy and very tender on the inside. Sauces are very consistent and have incredible flavor. The cajun fries are always piping hot and delicious. Decor is very cool. All about military (and for good reason!) Located right outside of JBER Muldoon gate, this is prime time location for the troops. My absolute favorite wings! You should definitely look into adding more sauce variety though! Imagine the possibilities! --Keep it up guys!

I went there on a whim since my first plan was to get Qdoba...then I decided that I didn't want fake Mexican food and went for wings. When I came in, I was greeted and was handed a menu. The lady who took my order was very helpful since I asked if the wings were a decent size and she said that the batch they have in today were pretty big. So I had the 10 piece sonic boom wings and the killer seasoned fries to-go. My order came in quick and fresh..and when I came home to devour them, they were amazing and the wings were big! I paid about $14 for the wings and fries so the price took off a star for the otherwise great service and food. I will return again. FYI: You're going to a restaurant, not a fast food joint. What if they had to defrost their wings prior to cooking them...is that why they took so long? I get some people getting overcooked chicken so I won't say much to that. Bad day? But again, if you're looking for something fast, how about not trying to pull a fast one at the theaters and sneaking food in, and actually getting food at the lobby? They have boneless wings and more there too!

Always looking for great wings, there seems to be a plethora of choices these days in Anchorage and I gave Wild Wings n' Things a shot yesterday afternoon. Business was steady, food arrived quickly and the staff was very friendly. Conversation in the restaurant was lively and enjoyable as it is not a "big" place, so the atmosphere was great. Beer is a must have and their selection was mainly of the Alaska brewery variety. I went for the hottest wing sauce they had and would only suggest that they offer a couple more options up the ladder on the spicy scale. Probably not a great seller being super hot, but I look forward to mouth burning pleasure. Other than that, I will be back!

Can I say 'awesome'. Got the dry rub cajun wings. .. perfect on the spice. .. awesome homemade bleu cheese n Ranch. Don't recommend for a quick lunch break...had to wait a little longer then expected. .. probably because it was busy... always a sign of good food.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here for the first time in April 2012 and we really liked it! The owner was very friendly and suggested we try the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. It was ridiculously good. The fries are delicious and taste even more amazing if you dip them in the buffalo ranch sauce. I got the buffalo chicken and cheese sandwich but next time I am getting the Philly. It's a little funny that our favorite thing at the Wings place was the Philly cheese steak but who cares, that thing is amazing! Also, they have Diet Dr. Pepper, Sweet Tea, and Orange Soda. (3 things I love but don't always see as an option, yay!) We will def be returning, their menu is full of good stuff. I hope the wings are as good as the Philly but if not I'm okay with it because that Philly will bring me back every time, lol. 2 THUMBS UP! Philly!

So after much I wonders about this place me and my boyfriend finally gave them a try. And I must say I really don't see the hype over this place. The wings aren't even In the same category of wings n things or Buffalo Wild Wings. Just go somewhere else.
