I've been here twice and both times my drinks were terrible. I ordered a strawberry Italian soda and it was gross.. I asked the young lady not to add to much half and half and she did the opposite. My white mocha, bad. It tasted way too bitter, a bad shot was used. Two stars.

Lets go through the perfect checklist: ~Great fresh food... check ~Trained baristas that make a killer cup of joe... check ~Cute shop, easy to dine in or take out... check ~Fast and friendly service... check ~Great prices... check. Yes, looks like a 5* rating to me.

This place has just improved so much in the last 5 years since the new owners have taken rein. The food quality has gone up (especially the soups), the service is phenomenal, and the place just seems cleaner. The location isn't the best, but I spent a lot of time in that mall with an ice skating sister, and it was so much better than all the other offering in the food court downstairs.
(4)Suz L.
Sandy is a fixture as are many of the lunch customers. =)
(5)Customer j.
been eating at perfect cup for over 20 years. great food. the turkey croisant with cream cheese and cranberry sauce. mmmmmmmmmm
(4)Maura P.
good sandwiches, burgers and chili. wait staff varies from semi-friendly to highly incompetent. and you may have to sit next to that person who brought their 8 kids to the mall.
(3)Colt M.
I've been coming here for about 5 years and I cant get enough. The avacado wrap with the chicken noodle soup is my favorite. The resturant looks amazing after its remodel and even has a nice bar with flat screens.10/10 would recomend

I first tried this place yesterday and I enjoyed it. I loved the food so much I came back today. Still delicious food. The servers are also sweet.
(5)Tammy G.
Perfect cup of what? Nasty soup Lame sandwich I will never come back They should be embarrassed to serve that crap. Who are these people that have rave reviews? Do they also consider mcdonalds fine cuisine?
(1)Lilz A.
Best food & service ever! Definitely recommend this to everyone!! It is the BOMB yum yum YUM I want to eat here every day of the week ! I come here once a week at least and I will never stop loving it!
(5)R B.
This is my favorite lunch spot! The spicy stew is super delicious, as is the best bacon cheeseburger I've ever had!
(5)Dani W.
I had the curry chicken wrap for lunch today and it was delicious! Sandy was our server and she was fun and attentive. Try their chai lattes!
(5)Kim G.
The food is always great. Very lazy hostesses. We witnessed one argue with a couple that came in and were not there a minute. The worst customer service I've witnessed in Anchorage.
(1)Joy G.
I dunno if these people are racist toward Native Alaskans or just have terrible customer service, but after being seated, we sat idly for over 15 minutes without being acknowledged. We watched people who were seated after us be waited on. I must admit, the staff looked frayed around the edges. Perfect Cup is small (and cute) but the 4 staff in the frount should have been able to manage the small crowd, which is why I'm inclined to believe it was a deliberate slight. We made several signals for attention that went ignored as well. When it was obvious we were leaving, someone looked barely concerned that we were walking out. Whatev. Perfect Cup can suck it. I have no tolerance for bigotry and I love my family. Don't patronize this place.

Came here Sunday for a quick lunch and got there right when it opened. Sat at a booth close to cashier which I don't recommend. You get to hear everyone's conversation and apparently there are a bunch of people that come in often and talk. Service was very friendly. I ordered the cheeseburger with the chicken soup side and a cup of coffee. I got the cup of coffee after I got my food. I like that they don't have fries and onion rings. The chicken soup had good flavor, but the noodles took over the soup and made it hard to eat without making a mess. The cheeseburger came with two types of cheese and made me think of premade frozen patties. It was thin and cooked through. I really love a hand done burger done medium well, so that part was a let down. They have made some major renovations to this place and is looking good. I look forward to seeing it when completely done. I also forgot to get my iced earl gray tea on the way out. Bummer!
(3)Teress N.
The perfect cup is one of my favorite places to go for sandwiches and soup! There's always a lot of people when I come here, but I never have to wait a long time for my food which is nice. I usually get grilled cheese or tomato soup and they always taste delicious!
(5)Chamile U.
We weren't greeted when we walked in. The waiter did not greet us when she came to our table, she went straight to ordering our drinks. She was rude the whole time. Not once did she smile (I'm talking about the older lady). The food was alright but nothing special. Probably won't come again.
(1)Kislev H.
It's an okay place to go for some sandwich and coffee. My white chocolate mocha was way too sweet and powder was not mixed in well. Philly cheese steak was good but a little too salty for me. Side of salad was fresh :) price was 12.95 for the sandwich & I think close to 5 dollars for mocha. A little pricy. 3 stars not so perfect cup.
(3)Joleyn N.
I love the food. Great refreshing drinks and coffee. One of my favorite places to sit and enjoy a quick meal.
(5)Linda P.
This place is so good. I will definitely give this place a visit when I'm in town. I had 1/2 of a turkey sandwich with cream cheese and cranberry but I also added avocado; it was delicious. The serving was really big and got me full. The chicken noodle was up to par and had me wanting more.
(5)Cimi L.
(7/30/13) Great place, haven't been at The Perfect Cup in a couple of months (maybe a year), but when we went in the waiter came to our table right away and took our order then within minutes our food was on the table. I highly recommend this place to individuals who are looking for a quick bite but who also enjoy the food.
(5)Jeremiah B.
Had an excellent Philly steak sub here. The food was good and on the table inside of ten minutes after ordering. The au jus wasn't anything special, but the sandwich was perfect and they were generous with the meat.
(4)Stacy B.
This cafe, located in the Dimond Center, has been in the Dimond Center as long as I can remember. My mother used to take me here as a little girl for a Saturday lunch to fortify ourselves for a few hours of shopping. This was only the old section of Dimond Center existed, when Best Buy was a Safeway and there was no skating rink. But, not only is this place full of nostalgic memories for me, but they still make great food, fresh, and have only gotten better with age. One of my favorite dishes is their french dip sandwich. It's always hot, loaded with beef topped on crusty, warm french bread and a side of warm au jus to dip it in. Delicious! My husband recently had their turkey club sandwich which looked fabulous as well. Another fabulous reason to come here is for the homemade soups. They are simple soups like chicken noodle soup or beef vegetable, but they are flavorful. I love getting a bowl of chicken noodle soup and it's always loaded with chicken, carrots, onion and noodles, but the best part are the slices of garlic floating in the homemade broth. The service has always been fast and from the moment we sit down to when we get our food takes less than ten minutes on average.
(4)Christopher B.
This is one of our favorite places for a quick yummy lunch. I love their ruben!!! It's hella good and not too covered in sauce like many other rubans I have had. My wife loves every soups and salad they have. It's pretty easy to get in and out even though they are in the mall.
(4)Waylon W.
The Perfect Cup has been a Dimond Center mainstay ever since I was a young kid, and I'm now 28. It's very comforting to know that it's still there, and continues to be consistently good. I went there for lunch today with my significant other. It was only mildly busy, and the service was incredibly prompt and friendly. They seem to have a quality crew working there on Sunday afternoons! I ordered the chicken quesadilla from the specials menu. It had cheddar cheese and jalapenos inside, and was absolutely perfect! One complaint I always have about quesadillas is that they tend to either be too floppy, so I can't pick them up and dip them without their falling apart, or they just have too much stuff in them. These were perfectly cooked. Slightly crispy, but not burnt, and they held their shape. The cheese and chicken tasted fresh, and the jalapenos weren't overwhelming. I got it with chips on the side, which turned out to be what I think were Ruffles, which was a bit disappointing because I don't like really salty chips. My guy got the avocado curry wrap, also from the specials menu. The avocado was perfectly ripe, the curry sauce was, again, tasty but not overpowering. His side salad looked like it was quite good. I was really happy with my lunch at the Perfect Cup. It was fast, friendly, fresh, and not too spendy. The decor is a bit outdated, but honestly, it makes it comforting.
(4)Jo S.
Great lunch spot! They have fresh food and really good coffee! Their mochas are incredible! Although I like my drinks on the sweet side, so it must have been fairly sweet just to clarify. The place is really clean and the service is friendly and prompt! The atmosphere is quiet and is reasonably accommodating for children. Highly recommend!
(5)Cherie S.
One of my favorite lunch spots. My husband refuses to go there because he says they "serve nothing but bitch food". Oddly enough, it's usually old women in there and mall rats on their lunch break. They know a good deal when they see one, I suppose. The decor is cheesy and can use an update. The staff is friendly and fast. I love the chicken salad wrap with an extra side of salsa. They make a kick ass chili, too. I would go more often but due to it's location its not an easy place to get to during the lunch hour.
(4)Kelly S.
My daughter and I always stop here for a little treat while we shop at the Dimond Center. This restaurant is located on the 2nd floor next to the Movie Theatre. The food is great! I really like the way the restaurant smells like tea leaves. The service is hit or miss. Sometimes its good, other times, not so much. I love their chef salad with ranch. Big serving, fresh, crisp veggies. . . . My daughter ALWAYS gets the strawberries and angel food cake with whip cream... And you can never go wrong with a white chocolate mocha.
(4)J F.
I love this place and have been a frequent visitor for the past 12 years or so. The chicken noodle has been a constant favorite. The beef stew used to be a favorite as well, but I find the recipe has changed in recent years. I stick with the chicken noodle now. Every sandwich I've had here has been wonderful. The reuben is a favorite, the french dip, the BLT. They have a special menu that always has great items and I believe is only available from 11-2 or 3. If they have pork on there I highly recommend it, the sandwich and quesadilla (they dont have them now but hope to see them return) are to DIE for. The service is almost always fast and friendly. The food is consistently good and hot, always a favorite if I feel like a great meal.
(5)kellee k.
ILOVEITILOVEITILOVEIT! This restaurant is the shining glory of the Dimond Center, well worth braving the horror that is known as driving on Dimond Blvd. The staff is friendly, the service is quick and the food is excellent. My favorite is the Avocado Wrap with a Mocha.
(5)Andrew L.
Unique flavors and hearty combo dishes with soup or salads. The curry and Thai wraps were excellent.
(4)Kirk H.
Don't know what other reviewers are talking about with their "fresh food" comments. I got a side salad with my decidedly average tuna melt sandwich and it was chopped iceberg lettuce topped with a slightly mealy tomato wedge. The server was friendly and prompt, but absolutely nothing about the food stood out, either good or bad. The best thing I can say is that the atmosphere is better than the grim food court downstairs.
(2)Paul P.
Right on!! Perfect lunch and coffee spot. It's in the mall on the north side, second floor. I had a Rueben that was in fact perfect. Not overwhelmed with corned beef, tasty saeurkraut and dresssing on fresh, toasted pumpernickel rye. It was paired with their homemade chicken noodle soup, which was, you guessed, perfect as well. Thanks Yelpers! ps - the address to get directions to this place is 800 E Dimond Blvd
(5)Jamie O.
My favorite lunch spot! Great soup sandwich and chips. Very fast and tasty. They just got a remodel so and it looks great and fits more people. Wonderful coffee as well and the cute young girls that work there are sweet and attentive. They were even nice when my toddler made a huge cracker mess all over the table and floor. You gotta get there before 2pm or they will be all out of their ever so scrumptious seafood chowder! Yuuuum!
(5)Kayla S.
I am a little torn while writing this review. Honestly I've been here many many times over the past year. The food before their renovation was always on point. After the renovation for some reason it really seems to be hit and miss. I ordered a bacon mushroom philly and the bread was really difficult to chew through. The soup also seems hit and miss as well. When it is a hit though it is very good. Over the year I've been coming here they only ever messed up my order once, so that really isn't bad. My interactions with the staff is usually positive. This last time I went the girl was really rude towards me. The one with short hair and a heavier build. She didn't smile at me once, and just looked annoyed to be there and to be taking my, and everyone else's orders. Price is alright I guess for Anchorage. Portions are large enough to where if I decide to save half the sandwich for later I'm still pretty stuffed. If you're in a lunch rush I'd recommend you call you order in ahead of time for pick up, otherwise you'll be waiting possibly a good while during peak times. Overall it's a good lunch spot if you're in the Dimond mall.

My wife and I would always pass by this place to go watch a movie and today we decided to give it a try. After seating ourselves, we were greeted by our server and given water and menus. They had a pretty big selection and it took us a while to figure out what we wanted, but our server was friendly and patient. I decided to go with their roasted garlic chicken burger with the seafood chowder and my wife went with the bacon chicken burger. We didn't have to wait long for our food and everything came out the way we wanted. My wife loved her burger and really like the size of the bacon that came with it. My burger was seasoned great, cooked well, and was overall pretty good. Now for the chowder. The chowder was decent, but needed a little more flavor. I was fine with it until I found a little piece of hair in my bowl. Kind of lost my appetite after that, but at least I finished by burger first. I let both the server and person who cashed me out know and that they should check the rest of batch to be sure that there wasn't any more in the chowder. I would recommend this place for the burgers and the fast/friendly service. Just check your soup before you try it.
(4)Robyn F.
Excellent food, fast service, great prices, and clean atmosphere. For a lunch spot I can't think of a better one I have gone to in Anchorage. I have worked on the south side for 10 years, and this was the first time I have gone. Definitely going back, many more times. I would highly recommend The Perfect Cup to anyone in Anchorage. Thank you! -A New and Loyal Customer :)

Mmmm.... The best Ruben in town. I've been all over town and finally I found the perfect cup. Best Ruben I have tried in anchorage. I will be back, the salad was great too the perfect size. Happy I work near by I will be back again for lunch and recommend this to the coworkers.
(5)Al K.
Teriyaki chicken burger was delicious!! Carrot cake was a little dry :( Service was not bad. Clam chowder did not tickle my pickle. All in all not a bad place.
(4)Elaine M.
I love Perfect Cup for a last minute lunch date. You pretty much can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I love the curry wrap with the spicy Cajun chicken substitute! All of their soups taste fresh and delicious every time. Good prices too!
(4)Jayme P.
Clean, fast and delicious food! You must seat yourself when you come in and they have booths. Always friendly service!
(5)Paulette M.
Always awesome! Fresh and well prepared. Just like Mom would make or you would if you had the time! The Chili is a favorite. Save some for us. The staff are always efficient and friendly. Love this place.
(5)Tayler B.
I'm a huge soup, salad, sandwich person. The Perfect Cup is the reason why. My mom used to take me here when I was little, we moved to Oregon and every time I visited I HAD to go to the PC. Best chicken noodle ever, and their tuna salad is to die for. The slivered almonds add a nice crunch. They also have pretty good coffee drinks! So if you've never been and are in Anchorage, go. You won't be sorry.

They make a kick ass chili, too. I would go more often but due to it's location its not an easy place to get to during the lunch hour.

Unique flavors and hearty combo dishes with soup or salads. The curry and Thai wraps were excellent.

This place has just improved so much in the last 5 years since the new owners have taken rein. The food quality has gone up (especially the soups), the service is phenomenal, and the place just seems cleaner. The location isn't the best, but I spent a lot of time in that mall with an ice skating sister, and it was so much better than all the other offering in the food court downstairs.

good sandwiches, burgers and chili. wait staff varies from semi-friendly to highly incompetent. and you may have to sit next to that person who brought their 8 kids to the mall.
