Man, I really wanted to like this place! I heard from a local that it wasn't very good, but I went anyways (for breakfast) because it has a cute exterior and it's right across from the Sheraton. This rating has nothing to do with the service. I don't usually let the service persuade my rating unless it's really bad. The food was subpar and the service was barely satisfactory. So disappointing!

Food was a bit on the salty side. I had the classic eggs Benedict with biscuit and gravy. Eggs Benedict was good but they added too much sauce. Biscuits and gravy was different. Tasted really sour and tangy. Was not a fan of that. Breakfast burrito was not worth the price you pay. Better off getting breakfast from McDonalds. :-/

Shocked to see poor reviews.... I eat here on every trip to ANC... I have never been dissatisfied. It's good food, reasonable prices, good portions, and away from the tourist trapped overpriced locations a few blocks away... I plan on coming back!!! Breakfast always great and enjoy the salads for lunch... This is fresh diner food.... Not gourmet, but not a dive greasy spoon joint. I think other reviews are over critical...

The tuna deli sandwich was good. The service was subpar. The chef didn't know how to make a panini. My salmon panini was dripping in oil and butter. The side salad that it came with wasn't even washed. Their blue cheese dressing was warm for some reason. Overall, I would recommend to keep walking past the cafe unless you just want coffee.

This was right across the street from our hotel, so we walked over for breakfast and dinner a couple times. Breakfast was great- we had the eggs Benedict. And the salmon for dinner was awesome. Way better than Orso down the road that charged $10 more. (and better service, too) Very good meals, good service. Highly recommended.

The breakfast wasn't very good and it was dry and bland the prices are ridiculous for what they have. The waiters are unprofessional one girl sat somebody and had a redbull in her hand and drank it and it put on the table and asked the customer "what do you want" then the floor manager was fixing his phone and arguing with one of the waitresses. They had no idea what they were doing. It looks nice from the outside but when you get inside its ugly and unorganized. My opinion don't waste your money on their overpriced food.

The pancakes and reindeer sausage were decent, not fantastic but good enough. Service was fast and friendly. Comparing to the breakfast in the hotel across street I'd rather come here.

One of the worst expriences possible. Poor, slow service. Took almost 10 minutes after getting seated to get a water. After finishing the water and asking for more it took 15 minutes to get a refill. It took over 55 minutes to get the food. Instead of waiting, we walked out. As others indicated, we saw people come in after us get their food first. Several people left due to the poor service. The place was not overly busy with 7 tables being serviced by 2 people. The men's bathroom probably had not been cleaned in several days.

Ever really want a place to succeed because you see the potential but then in your heart of hearts you realize that they won't ever meet your expectations so you'd better move on? Yea, that's this place. The pancakes were actually fluffy and tasty but the eggs were loaded with salt - and usually I pack on salt wherever I can, but this made my cheeks squeal. The bacon was thin as others stated, along with very stiff and extra crunchy. I actually prefer it that way but I understand that most people like to be able to realize that what they're eating is actually bacon. Coffee did take awhile to get refills - actually I never did get that offer. Sad. But the waitress who was clearly inexperienced in restaurant service tried her best - she really did. But contrary to what most people think, waitressing is a skill and takes a great deal of hospitality and foresight to anticipate the guests needs. My uncle asked for tabasco for his eggs which he never received. She was running back and forth between us and a couple other tables. There were only five tables filled with two waitresses though - that was disturbing that the juggling of patrons was overwhelming for them. There's so many amazing places to eat in Anchorage for practically the same cost such as Snow City Cafe, that is made me question why we decided to plop here. The photographs for sale on the walls are beautiful - breathtaking even. But the rest of the decor looks like a modge-podge of left over old restaurant equipment that they bought in a salvage yard. Brighten the place up a bit, get creative with the decor, and people would walk through the doors more often than you'd think. All in all, with other great breaky options in town, I'd just wait the hellish hours in line for a table elsewhere.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning. The place was nearly empty, that should have been the first sign, but I pressed on anyway. Service was inattentive and slow. Ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon, simple enough. The gravy was so thick it defied gravity and was nearly solid. I've had better biscuits out of the freezer case. Bacon was thin and unimpressive. Long story short, move on. Better options down the road.

After ordering my group of 4 waited just under an hour for our food. By the time it reached us, the majority of it was cold. We waited long periods of time in between pours of coffee/water. The waitress was polite but she would disappear for a while. She didn't seem to know the menu but maybe she was new. Other tables who were seated well after us were served their food before us. Prices kind of high for what it was.

Total disappointment... How could you get a simple traditional breakfast wrong?!?! Rock hard toast which was burnt, cold potatoes (even after asking for them to be cooked well), and the list goes on. Never got silverware so finally after two minutes of food sitting on table we got up and looked for some on our own. Highly recommend you don't eat here.

Sat ourselves, got menus right away... but after we placed our order, we legitimately waited 50 minutes to get our food. There were two tables sitting when we got there, one already with food!!! One of the kickers was that the people that came in after us got their food BEFORE us. Food was cold when we got it, but we didn't want to send it back in fear that it would take another hour to get food. Service was okay. Plates cups and silverware were dirty.

Service was way too slow- at least 4 people walked out due to lack of service. The restaurant was completely empty and the server seemed frazzled and uninterested in providing customer service. The food was just ok- definitely will not be back. If you are in a rush or looking for a very delicious meal do not come here.

Been sitting here for 30 minutes and haven't received a menu yet or any service whatsoever. Going on 43 minutes and had to ask for a menu but no return service to take our orders. Which is a shame. The service was lacking (our server said someone went home sick so they were shorthanded). Completely and utterly average which, for the prices, is unacceptable. Eat here ONLY in a pinch and don't have time to find a better option.

Chef Rob catered our company party and did a terrific job! The brisket was delicious (we'll need to order more next time!) and the chicken was tasty. We appreciated his variety of sides and loved the desserts - don't miss the cookies and cookie bars! The pricing was very reasonable! Chef Rob and his staff were "the easy button" for us; we'll definitely use them again!

The Place was dead. I ordered the build your own omelette with smoked salmon. It took about 35 minutes to get the food. The food tasted ok, a little bland. The order was not correct as for the side items. The omelette was the only thing notable on the plate.

This place is terrible!!! Waitress never asked if I need anything !!! They brought my food out after 30 min and it wasn't what I ordered...for the price of food it is well below par!!! Do not come here!!!

The waitress was very attentative. The food was not good at all. The seafood chowder was unedible The paninni sandwich was very bland. . Bread fell apart so had a plate dull of Kroger ham slices, some thin cheap bacon. Won't be back.

Been sitting here for 30 minutes and haven't received a menu yet or any service whatsoever. Going on 43 minutes and had to ask for a menu but no return service to take our orders. Which is a shame. When they used to be located across Hilton they were attentive, great staff experience and wonderful food. But we are on 45 minutes and no food to show for it so very disappointing.

Stayed at the Sheraton next door. Service was absolutely awesome with a beautiful smile. Reindeer pups were awesome. Fish and chips don't bother overcooked dried for $15 it's definitely not worth it atmosphere is awful

Three people for breakfast and while it was all satisfactory, there was nothing outstanding for the prices. Not the best coffee either. The service was lacking (our server said someone went home sick so they were shorthanded). Completely and utterly average which, for the prices, is unacceptable. Eat here ONLY in a pinch and don't have time to find a better option.

Excellent service. Smoked salmon and reindeer sausage omelet excellent. Restaurant seems new or newly cleaned. Everything new and shinny. Very refreshing.

Waited far too long to even get acknowledged by the staff (although they looked over at us several times). No one a the front desk. 15 minutes and not even seated when it's slow? Out the door irritated and won't be back. Ridiculous.

Good food and service. I have the free voucher from the Guesthouse Inn across the street. I had the eggs, potatoes, and toast. It was good but just a little on the small side. I added a side of cottage cheese. Service was quick and very attentive though.
