Slamming Sammy's! Sandwiches are just DELISH! Sometimes I forget how wonderfully yummy a simple sammich can be, thanks for reminding me! Just a note... either improve on your coffee or don't offer it. I've stopped at Sara's Too a few times in the morning and it's just... aweful. I may be a bit of a coffee snob but I think the majority of Anchorage is. Their food is too delish to be brought down by a bad cup of joe.

Best sandwich in town, hands down. Although, if you order the soup, get the small every time. The only difference between it and the large is the container design mostly. The amount served is almost the same in each.

I love this place!! They sandwiches are amazing and so cheap! I don't know how they make any money with all the toppings they pile on - seriously, these sandwiches are huge! They also offer free soup on Saturdays when you purchase a sandwich. And if you buy a fountain drink you get free chips! An entire meal (sandwich, soup, chips & a drink) for right about $10. Awesome!

We ordered five sandwiches and we ended up with five disappointed diners. Disappointing and certainly not a four star restaurant.

This place is legit. Ginormous sandwiches made to order....they don't skimp on anything. The staff was patient as I took my time to build my "delight" and they were accomodating with special requests. LOVE!

Yum!!!!! The Chicken Salad sammy with some alfalfa sprouts is slllllaaaaaaammin'. The staff here is really awesome, they stay on point and very friendly. During the lunch hours they get crazy busy, but like I said they are on point.

This place was so good! There are so many choices you can get and make it whatever way you want. On Saturdays they give you free soup with a meal. They have every choice of drink you can think of which is awesome. There is not a ton of sitting places but its enough when it isn't busy. It does look like a deck in there because it is all lawn furniture which is a little sad that they cant buy just normal chairs. They use Boars head meat (stuff from Fred Meyer), it is good quality. Do not listen to Shannon's review that says they are oscar mayer cold cuts with wonder bread because neither of those facts are true. They do have deserts but I have not tried them but they look good! I cant wait to go back and try a different sandwich. They did forget my pickle which made me super sad!

Ordering here was somewhat confusing, but after we figured it out and got our sandwiches the experience wasn't much better. The sub was huge but made mostly of lettuce. My husband enjoyed his French dip, wish I could say the same about my chicken bacon ranch. If I return I will order to go, the inside looks like a bunch of lawn furniture thrown together, with a huge fish thrown on the wall named Sara. I'm from Georgia, so you would think I would like this redneck hole in the wall, but even southern people know how to keep it classy. If I could rate negative. I would.

This place is so good! They have a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from. I love getting the turkey in a spinach wrap with all the veggies. Even when they are slammed, the people are friendly and the food is quick! If you are looking for a well put together sandwich this is the place!

This was my first visit here, I called my order in for pick up and went to get it. The sandwich was ready when I got there and the soup was prepared once I had arrived. I ordered an Italian combo and a small side of chili. My total without a tip was $13. So it's about average for Anchorage I'd say. The staff was nice, kind of talkative which is good or bad depending on your personality lol. They noticed they had incorrectly charged me and fixed it before I even had a chance to realize and that was very nice in my book. The portions are huge! A small chili is a large at most other places I couldn't even finish it. The sandwich is the same I could only finish half of it. As far as the chili though I was kind of disappointed, it really didn't taste like chili to me. The italian combo was alright, I didn't notice a crazy amount of toppings on it. The bread was really good, it was fresh it seemed. Other than that I mean I wasn't super impressed with it. I probably won't come back here just because it's a far drive from where I live and I wasn't blown away with the food. If I lived right around the corner though I'd probably give it a couple more tries and maybe sample something else on the menu.

YUM! I have only had a sandwich from here once but it was great! It was the Blazing Buffalo Chicken sandwich. Sooo good. Will go again!

I've been here a few times and really like this place...I'm surprised that i haven't written my review :/ we've had the roast beef, the Italian, French dip and the Italian sausage. They were all super good with soft fresh bread!! Their sub bread is pretty thick, but it's soft so it's deliciously! You also get a fee soup with your sandwich, which is AWESOME!! We've had the chili, clam chowder and broccoli cheddar.. All again are perfect! But it's pretty filing. It's a great deal for your money!! They're a little wasteful using disposable everything even if we are eating in, but that's a personal issue for me. We will definitely be back! They have good portions at a good price and are VERY delicious!

Good prices and free soup on Saturday! Great looking sandwich with lots of drink options.

Overpriced sandwiches you can make at home. It's like some slapped to pieces of wonder bread together with Oscar Mayer turkey cold cuts.

Pretty good sandwich. I got the triple combo. The best thing about the place is that it has a huge selection and you can have them make almost anything you can think of. I wouldn't go out of my way to return but I'd eat there again if I were in the area.

Some products are too processed and service is lacking, but a few of the sandwiches are pretty awesome.

Wonderful and friendly employees. Easy to use menu. Great portions on sandwiches. Wide variety of beverages and side dishes. Fantastic tasting sandwiches.

Stopped in for a quick bite and was impressed. Great bread and good service.

It was ok. The only reason it's getting 4 stars instead of 3 is because the service was phenomenal. This was my first visit to this joint and the girl behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. My complaints: The bread selection was missing a few items. They were out of the bread I wanted, so I had to settle with something else I really didn't want. Secondly, I ordered tomatoes... Maybe I'm picky about tomatoes, but why is it *SO* hard, for those in the food industry, to remove the center part of the tomato that no one eats? That alone will make me go someplace else. My compliments: The ingredients were fresh & wonderful. Even though I didn't get the bread I wanted, the bread I did get was soft & delicious. And even though, at first, I didn't really like the way they assembled the sandwich, it kind of makes sense. I will go back and try this place again, because I'm sure what I experienced was just a fluke.

Love coming here, always get fresh amazing tasting food and always worth every penny. My go to sandwich place. I usually create my own but I've also tried their meatball sub which was tasty. My favorite thing as well is there mini macaroni and potatoe salads.

Okay, gotta get this off my chest... This place is just......outstanding. The friendly staff (and owners) are very efficient and competent when taking orders (either by phone or in person) and will more often than not get your order to you before you can get a drink and find a seat. For such a heavy-traffic sandwich joint (during the lunch hours of 11:30-2 they're very busy) they stay very organized and maintain their stellar service. Their sandwiches/combos are very affordable (did I mention delicious??), and you can tell a lot of care went into making them. They have ingredients not found at your cookie-cutter sandwich place, which automatically makes them amazing in my book (they have alfalfa sprouts!!) So, if you're in the mood for a great sandwich place, outside of Subway and Quizno's, do yourself a favor and scope out this little place on Arctic, they won't disappoint you. -L

This reminds me of Glenn's Deli in North City up the street from my house growing up. Just when you think Anchorage has nothing more to offer.......

We went again today and we were pleasantly surprised by the Soup Saturday. You get a free cup of soup or chili with the purchase of any sandwich. My husband got the clam chowder, which was pretty good, and I got the chili which was kind of cold and LOADED with cheese, a little too much for my liking. But it was free! As I said before, we will definitely be back again. Maybe in twice in the same week like we did this week :)

Had a chance to stop in here twice while going through some advanced training...I had the Ham and Provolone on a French Roll Chips Salad large drink..ran me about 12.00 bucks..no so bad second time I went for the Roast beef...same prices..they give you a good large sandwich the salad was a little small, all the refills you want....good lunch spot!
