Great little deli inside of the New Sagaya Market. They have a wood-fired oven for pizzas and calzones, and they make some great sandwiches. The eggplant pate is one of my favorite things they have. I'm not sure if it's a L'aroma or Sagaya thing (the two are connected without a door, so it's hard to tell which is which)

L' Aroma has the greatest soup selection in town, their clam chowder is the best and sure their other food is great but I make a point of grabbing clam chowder and the kalamata olive rolls. U guys ROCK!!!

One of the most busiest places in midtown! I've been going to the L'Aroma Diamond Center location for a few years every time I'm in Anchorage so I decided to try this location one afternoon. The deli and bakery is connected to the location Grocery Store resembled like a local PCC or Whole Foods back in Seattle. Things to get while your here: Salad - They have prepackaged salads at this location, but make sure to ask them to make a fresh salad (fresh is always better). Cobb salad was my choice. Tomato Soup - I'm a huge fan of tomato soup and theirs is exceptional! Its a tomato blue cheese soup which had a great rich creamy taste. Fore warned, it looks like they have rush on their soup preparations. One of my co-workers got the soup and had a pasta in it. Coffee - As a big Seattle coffee snob and in Anchorage for 2 weeks straight, I've been craving a good cup of coffee (Not Starbucks). Thankfully L'Aroma has Kaladi Brothers Coffee Beans which is a local roast in Alaska and easily can complete with the beans used at Cafe Vita and Stumptown. The baristas at these location know how to make good lattes as well. Only other comments are: I tried their chicken pesto sandwich which I thought was bland. It had a great foundation with good bread, cheese and good pesto, but I think it could be elevated by adding peppers, avocado and possible a vegetable like tomatoes. Overall if you can get through the traffic with everyone wanting to get food at this establishing I would definitely consider this spot for lunch! GU approved! Note: Their pastries looked bomb! But with all the food I already wanted to sample I figured I'd skip out on the dessert. Until next time!

Although L'Aroma has wonderful coffee and food, their staffs lack of professionalism is appalling. I have yet to have an experience where the staff are polite and courteous. New customers are belittled for not understanding the ordering routines, the dining area is consistently dirty, with sticky tables and unkept floors, and staff members are regularly seen chatting with one another instead of working. Although I enjoy the coffee and food it is not worth it to continually deal with poor customer service. I will not be returning again.

If I could give this place zero stars today, I would. I stopped by and picked up some corned beef and cabbage. It was literally inedible. The cabbage was hard and bitter. The meat was so tough, the sharpest knife I had wouldn't cut it. Needless to say, it went in the garbage. Shame on you, L'Aroma.

I go to L'Aroma at least once a week for a quick sandwich on the go. I'll get a turkey cranberry on focaccia and their breads are pretty good. Their deli offers several pasta side dishes, which are all better than Fred Meyer's offerings. My absolute favorite is the salmon cous cous with cilantro...I'm addicted!

a gem on the westside/in sagaya's. they make wonderful baked goods. for more great European type baked goods, I recommend trying The Flying Dutchman. They have more variety and European cakes than L'Aroma.

Good latte, delicious muffin, and ok cinnamon roll. We got a ham sandwich here that had globs and globs of ginger chutney. I had to take my first bite out of my mouth it was so strong. I light smearing of it would have been fine. I ate the rest of the sandwich without the bread with the chutney on it. Whoever made this sandwich did not know what they were doing.
