Pretty solid restaurant. Spicy chicken teriyaki lunch special with potstickers as my side. Tons of food and it was all really good!

I had this place while visiting last summer and I'm still dreamin bout it. Wish we had a place like this in texas. You get plentiful sides with your entree. I recommend the short ribs, they grill it to perfection!

This place seriously has five star house fried rice and we probably get it take-out once a week. It has tons of delicious teriyaki meat in it. They are fast, too. I also like their egg rolls and pot stickers if we are really hungry. If you ask me, best fried rice in all of Anchorage.

Food is very delicious, affordable and was fast. The restaurant is right next to a bunch of hotels which is also near the airport. One warning though. I'm half Mexican and love spicy food and their "spicy teriyaki" is actually very spicy. It could be too much for some. Usually I don't taste difference with food labeled "spicy".

This place wasn't too bad. I ordered the spicey wings (8.99 wow) and they were tasty. Pass on the chicken fried rice though, basically is is just the chicken terriyaki mixed with a few veggies stir fried real quick less the sauce. Pretty tasteless.

Ordered delivery from them for the first time, wow! Not only were their portions large but the price was cheap for this amount of food! And this was the best teriyaki that I have had in town so far. We ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki - which is spicy, perfect for someone who likes spicy but if you don't I wouldn't try this but it was BBQd and flavored really well, and the chicken katsu. The chicken katsu was delicious but the sauce could use some more love - just needs more flavors to taste less like BBQ sauce. Overall we will be adding this restaurant as one of our usual spots, they deliver which is a huge plus and it is good quality food that I wouldn't expect from deliver. I am impressed.

Visited while on vacay, ermg!!!!! soooooooooo delicious!!! very authentic! I felt like I was visiting my mom's for lunch! I had the kalbi and spicy pork, portions were huge and service was very hospitable! I visit every time I get a chance to come up here!

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki is fantastic! Quick delivery. I will definitely order again yum..

Food was pretty good. I ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Crunch Roll, and Spicy Chicken Teriyaki. I would most definitely recommend this place!

I have nothing negative at all to say about this place. I had the chicken udan to go, ate it at home, and got back in my car to go get some more. There is no better place for Teriyaki in A-rage.

I had the spicy chicken teriyaki lunch special for $7.99 and a fountain drink for $1 . Kudos to them for giving the option of white rice or brown rice. Overall a great place to grab delicious cheap food.

Had the lunch special here.. Terriyaki and some pot stickers.. Casual seating kind of place, well lit.. plenty of seats, not really my place to hang out and chat after a meal.. I'm not really sure who this place caters too, the soon to be tourist crowd staying at hotels in spenard?.. I thought everything here was just so-so.. The beef was sliced nice, and thin but dammit, theres something missing. theres a certian kind of kick missing from the food. The portion is good, but if the beef was grilled instead of just panfried it would have been better. My friend bought a can of soda.. that was kinda odd that they offer that considering there is a fountain.. Potstickers.. were just so-so.. if they had offered an interesting dipping sauce that would have made it better.

Good food, hard to find good egg rolls and fried rice around here.

Good Teriyaki, over the last few years I have come here I have enjoyed the teriyaki and udon. It is usually a little wait to get your food but its cooked to order. I prefer the Teriyaki to have the sauce on the side then to have it smoothed, I have seen some places that will put a bottle on the table and let you add as you go. The portions perfect size for Teriyaki place.

Good food, large portion, conveniently located next to holiday inn.

This is the best place to get spicy chicken teriyaki and some pork katsu. The people are always friendly and nice and the place has a great environment. 5 stars for sure

I finally broke down and decided to check this new place out, and boy was I surprised. Not only was it extremely affordable for what you get, the quality of the food was superb. The owners are Japanese, and a lot of the patrons are as well, (always a good sign when the customers of a certain ethnicity visit a specific respective ethnic restaurant). The service is quick and friendly. I have no criticisms what so ever. Anchorageites, if you are feeling like teriyaki, or other Japanese entrees; take a break from your typical overpriced Korean owned Japanese place and check this place out, you wont be disappointed. No better Japanese food in town, this is going to be my go-to food spot from now on.

I go here, mainly because it's convenient for working airport stiffs like myself. If you want decent food near the airport your options are pretty much here or Gwennie's. If you want a FAST option, this is pretty much it. Location is Spartan and simple. Service is always friendly. The spicy teriyaki here is actually, gasp, a little spicy. Portions are very generous, which is appreciated. I haven't visited many other Japanese/Teryaki bowl places in town so I don't have much of a basis for comparison. However, this place keeps me coming back.

Teriyaki is in their name and teriyaki is their game! This place is delicious! We came in for lunch, which a lot of people seem to do. A couple others were eating in, a few came in for pick-ups, and they were taking a lot of calls for deliveries. The only bad thing is their lunch special was only a $1 off compared to the normal menu. I don't call that much of a special. The service was fast and friendly though. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki, with white rice and pot stickers. The spicy teriyaki is spicy! It's a spice that really sneaks up on you after a couple of bites, however it's not the kind of spice that destroys your taste buds, but the kind of spice that you want to eat more of, with a slight tang to it! The pot stickers were really good too; they were rich in flavor and crispy. My boyfriend ordered the Beef Teriyaki, with brown rice and tempura vegetables. The beef was tender and the dish itself was really flavorful! The tempura vegetables were cooked perfectly and the batter was really crunchy. The lunches were a pretty big size; we both ended up taking home the leftovers, which I'm happy to report they warmed up nicely!

I ordered delivery from Fukumaru Teriyaki for the first time tonight. I always dread and usually avoid calling in orders because so often English is not the first language of the person on the other end and I struggle to understand them at the same time they are also impatiently in a hurry. Tonight, however, I was hungry enough and grocery store avoidant enough to bite the bullet and call for delivery. The phone call went great! The nice woman on the other end of the line spoke slowly enough for me to understand her, and she was very pleasant and polite throughout the ordering process. Right on time, three entrees and an appetizer arrived when she said they would. A polite young man delivered the food and graciously asked me if I wanted change before assuming the extra was a gratuity. It was his gratuity, but it was nice of him to ask and more well-mannered than most customer service people in this city. All of the food was piping hot, even the egg roll. The portions were generous, and the prices better than most places. I was very pleased and will be ordering from this establishment again.

This place deserves some more recognition. Sure, the south end of Spenard may not exactly be a restaurant hot-spot, but I consider Fukumaru to be a true gem. To start things off, the food is seriously cheap here. You can get the majority of items here for less than $10, and they do not skimp on portions either. As you may gather, the focus here is teriyaki. There's also some Korean BBQ thrown into the mix, and all of it is spectacular. If you're used to gloppy teriyaki sauced derived from corn starch, then you'll be pleased with how great everything tastes here. I recommend the spicy teriyaki chicken, as long as you're able to handle a moderate amount of heat. You also have the option to choose brown rice, if you so desire. I've got nothing more to mention, other than the fact that this is definitely one of the better options for food in southwest Anchorage.

Usually pretty decent. Usually. For a while this place has been my go-to for stir fried noodles & such, be it for dinner or lunch. However, today, a wrench was thrown into what normally is a good meal. My shrimp fried noodle was disgusting!! Noodles were mushy & barely even lukewarm. Zero flavor & the shrimp were not cleaned properly. It was bad, real bad. It will be hard for me to give them another shot after this order.

This was our first time coming. Food was ok at best but it took 45 minutes from the time we ordered to get it and we were the only ones there. Maybe they were having a bad day but we're definitely not coming back. First impressions are everything.

I got the chicken teriyaki plate a lot of food for a good price the staff is friendly and it's pretty clean

The food is good. The restaurant is nice, nothing fancy, not overly decorated with ornate Asian decor like most places in AK, it's comfortable, not stuffy, and it does not have that funky smell that some of the other restaurants have. I appreciate the option of steamed brown rice instead of white rice. I usually get a combo plate, have had each one different, and have not been disappointed. The portions are right on.

Price is slightly high, but the food is good, and service is average. The cooks were seen smoking outside when I was about to go in and it kind of made me want to go elsewhere, ha.
(3)Julia K.
The food was pretty good, I had the teriyaki beef and the spicy chicken. The service was pretty fast, and the portions were very generous. I think next time I go back there we will probably just order one meal and split it, maybe with a side. The inside was very clean, but it it could had a little bit more personality. Would definitely go back again, great value for the food I got.

This is a great local teriyaki restaurant. Usually don't have to wait long for your food. Which is good since I always get my food to go. I highly suggest trying this place out if you are in the Spenard Neighborhood.
