Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. These guys really know how to make a bomb ass burrito. The ground beef burrito I got was so good, it makes all other burritos pale in comparison. I just can't stress it enough. The chipolte chicken burrito was excellent as well but it couldn't compare to the delicious taste of the ground beef.. I'll have to go back just to be sure but damn! I could go on all day about the amount of love I had for that burrito. Without a doubt my new favorite burrito place in town even after just one visit. The staff was very friendly and seemed like they genuinely cared about making a quality product that you would enjoy eating. On a side note, they have no steak option (carne asada) as far as meat goes, and they also don't carry guacamole as a topping, but who really cares since the shit is so damn delicious. A+++

If this is what heaven is like, I'm in. The burritos here are massive. I got the mini sized one and almost thought they heard me wrong. Nope. The minis are huuuge. But delicious. Everything tasted super fresh and the owner was so sweet and chatty. It was like being over a friends house. A friend that makes delicious and ginormous burritos. I need more friends like that.... It's a bit out of the way for me, but I will definitely be back next time I'm on that side of town.

Call in so your order is waiting on you. The service is great, food wonderful, and it's right off post. I'm a big fan.

Large portions at reasonable prices. Fresh made with good ingredients. Nice folks

Here is the breakdown. They are definitely not the most authentic burritos. However, I did get reminded of what a burrito looks like. A born and raised New Mexican, I almost laugh when I see a burrito in Alaska most of the time. They are usually very, very small - like the gas station burrito place around the corner.... But, when I went to Burrito Heaven I was impressed. HUGE burritos for a great price. Man, I could not eat anything else the rest of the day and that was awesome! Again, not very authentic but very flavorful and they have a variety of toppings. I will be back next time I feel like gaining a few pounds!

This was my first time here recommended by co-workers. I got the chipotle chicken with assortment of add-ons. Very delicious, will definitely come back with the wife.

Burritos are good. They are American style. There is nothing Hispanic about this place. Burritos are actually really really good but this place gets 3 stars for the absolute atrocious customer service. The set up is all wrong, you order your burrito and they tell you to sit down, then they often call you up with the wrong burrito in mind because this is no order. Almost everyone has an attitude problem due to this confusion. The tiniest management skills could fix this, but I have been coming here for 5 years and still the same problems. The lack of empathy with the staff is unforgivable as well. They know damn well what the problem is with there order system and could careless. Attaching names to orders? Or numbers? None have occurred to management. I've spent twenty minutes on this post as they try and figure how to keep people's burrito orders in line. I may never escape this.

You can think of this place as the local equivalent of a Chipotle. Actually, not exactly that, more like a mix between Chipotle and "That one local burrito joint" that every college town seems to have. The burritos are big. You get to choose from a multitude of ingredients. Not only do you choose the meat. You choose how the meat was cooked and spiced. Personally, I enjoy this. I'm a driven, up-and-comer with middle-management written all over me. I'm an adult. I make choices. I stand by them. If you suck at making decisions: A) How are you going to take a lover? B) How are you going to buy a house? C) How have you ever planned a trip? D) They have pre-defined burritos with catchy names for lazy, aimless folks just like you! They also do breakfast burritos, starting at 7am! This is something I've wanted to try but I keep forgetting about. Great for picking up something quick on the way out of town if you're heading north. I'm be back for the brekkierito! I got a chicken burrito with just about everything imaginable on it, then I put hot sauce on it, it was pretty good.

You can't go wrong with a good burrito and Burrito Heaven is the place to get them! I am not a fan of their lunch, it's really nothing to brag about nor special but the breakfast burritos are Amazing!! The Globe with country gravy is delicious and you do not have to worry if you'll leave hungry after :)

  • Chelsea D.

Really is heavenly. Big portions. Breakfast burritos are my favorite and they do them well. They also have art for sale on the walls from local artists, which is always a plus. Busy weekend mornings, but worth the wait--and the staff doesn't get frazzled which is refreshing from this style of quick serve.

Best burritos in ALL of Alaska. This place is amazing. I recommend the globe for breakfast or the tikki masala for lunch. Don't plan on eating again until dinner.

I'd rank Burrito Heaven in the top three best mexican restaurants in Anchorage. The food is delicious and made-to-order. I only wish they stayed open later. They close at or before 3:00 everyday, but I would stop by for dinner at least once a week if they were open til 6:00!

Been coming here for years. Although all their burritos are good, they shine in their breakfast burritos. Best in anchorage. No where else even comes close. Only knocked them down a star because the service can be spotty. Sometimes some of the staff seem annoyed they have to work and take your order. Kinda a bummer but their burritos are so good I keep coming back.

Heard so many good things about this place and I can honestly say I'm extremely disappointed. Friendly staff and the prices were good but the food sucked! Chipotle chicken didn't taste anything like Chipotle :(. Will not be going back !

  • Alicia D.

Pretty great for a burrito in Alaska!! Actually one of my favorite places to eat in Anchorage. Only downside is they're not open for dinner so we rarely get to eat there :(

Home of the loaded burritos! I went there today, and I was impressed with the oversized burritos. These burritos were more breakfast-like than it was lunch or dinner. Which may explain their obscure hours of 7am to 3pm. Their prices may seem high at first, but once you see your burrito, you'll forget about it. This review is missing a star for the customer-service. Like others have said, they were unhappy employees ran by teenagers that made me feel unwelcome. I'd come back for the food, but may feel hesitant thinking about it because of the service. On a side note, if you like REALLY spicy food like myself, they offer a large variety of salsa for your burrito. I asked for their hottest which they said the "habanero". I was somewhat disappointed. It was rather flavorless and it's not as spicy as I imagined it to be. I will be getting a different salsa next time I go.

This place is Heaven! The buffalo chicken burrito is Amazing! If you like a more traditional burrito, there are many choices and a large selection of homemade salsas to compliment your burrito. Get one today!

Great place for burritos. It's better than chipotle and Qdoba. I go to this place at least once a month or anytime I crave for a nice burrito. The workers are nice and friendly. However, they need to improve on the homemade hot sauce (they have different types of hot sauce on the counter) and possibly start making their own chips and salsa. Te place also need renovation and change their decor.

  • Aaron Z.

Great breakfast burritos! You will only need one and you probably will not need lunch. The salsa's could use some work... But that does not stop me from going at least once a week. Breakfast served all day Saturday If you are in a rush call them on your way over and your burrito will be ready when you arrive

This place is the most amazing Burrito place outside of California that I have found so far. They make some amazing flavor combinations. I've always been impressed by their quality and quantity and the price. It breaks with Anchorage traditions and charges a respectable fee for the awesome amazing goodness in their food. I wish they would have some more seafood flavors every once and a while. But you will not get a better deal in town for a good ole fashioned burrito.

Great place that serves large portions of food and the girls there gave incredible service. I'll be coming back for sure.

I'm a born and breaded Alaskan and I never tried this place until now. Its good but why is it ran by teenagers and with no pictures of what you're ordering?! And the portions omg they are huge talk about a clog artillery. It was ok dont see the big hoop la about it.

The biggest, best, customizable burritos EVER!!! Chipotle and others can't hold a candle to this local diamond in the ruff. :))

  • Jason H.

****WARNING**** The Globemaster burrito is amazing and you should eat one if you dare, but expect a 2-4 hour food coma afterwards. It may be a good idea to have a sitter after you eat this monstrosity because you won't be thinking very clearly!

If you are a fan of these wonderfully, tasty, treats that are called "Burritos", and you know the makings of a fantastic burrito, then this fine establishment is where you need to be, and it's name is perfect. The owners make Burritos, you understand? Not rice and beans on the side, no chips or dips, just burritos. Oh, don't misunderstand me, the names of these beautifully constructed wrapped offerings from the Burrito Gods, can mislead you, but they are as quoted "Burritos". For the most part approximate weight of one of these items is about 3-5 pounds depending on your choice of desires. The "Loaded" Burrito is 13 inches of warm flour Godita, meats to choose from run as: Shredded Beef or Chicken or Pork, Or Ground Beef, Chorizo, or Chipotle Chicken. Followed by Sour Cream, Rice, Black or Pinto Beans, Cheese, Lettuce. Onions, Olives, Jalapenos, and fresh Cilantro and some salsa. Now, I have mentioned all the items, and there is absolutely no, none, not even close skimping on ANYTHING. It is, in fact, as it says, Burrito Heaven. PS-They do make Taco's, they are 3.50 for one, and 3.25 if you think you can eat at least 2....yea...good luck on that one..only open Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:00 pm. Worth every single penny.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
