I want Johnny (the owner) to father my child... The shrimp bisque is amazing. Eat a Chocolate Stout Cupcake if you can get one. I like to get 3 or 4 of his cupcakes, and a quart of milk. Then I turn off all the lights, shut all the blinds in the house and turn on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album. I then sit on the floor and eat this wonderfully crafted shame meal. The salt from my tears adds a delicous contrast to the sweetness of the cupcakes.

Love the sandwiches and soups!! Cozy atmosphere, friendly employees and staff. Weird hours but we love going there.

Fabulous, and well priced. We had the tomato bisque with melted cheese on ciabatta, and the shrimp bisque in a bread bowl. Also, I'd like to add that the Lennon fog (earl grey, vanilla, and steamed milk) was the best I've ever had.

New favorite lunch spot! And will definitely be back for breakfast. Prices are really fair also, which is perfect for a starving college student.

Really wonderful atmosphere and service, their iced mocha made with chocolate milk is absolutely perfect. 10/10 recommend!

I have to give 2 stars because of the service. Today I got the chicken salad sandwich (wonderful bread!) The kid behind the counter couldn't count our change back (.25cents) if his life depended on it, and to top it off he moved at a glacial pace. The owner made our sandwich, he took at least 8 minutes to sloppily throw chicken salad (not much at all) on the bread & slovenly put a tomato and lettuce on it. It doesn't take long to put together a well balanced sandwich but this guy can't seem to get it right, too bad because he's working with good quality food items...

The food here looks like it would be awesome though I have never ordered any so don't let the following turn you away completely. Today I ordered a caramel latte. Though it was very cheap for a large size, I was disappointed. The coffee was bad and there was barely any flavoring. Very bland and dull, I would not get coffee here again.

This place is outstanding. On my very first day at Weber State, I went there for breakfast and coffee, everything was so delicious that I have made it my go to place any time I'm in Ogden. There is a large selection of food and drinks. I have never been disappointed. Weber State students get a 10% discount.

Great sandwiches made from fresh ingredients. The owners are super nice. Find this tucked away gem for a great lunch experience.

I'm in town doing business at Weber State. Ogden is a great little college/mountain town and Cafe Ville Bella is a knock-out little coffee/sandwich shop. I had a vegetarian sausage breakfast sandwich. Perfection! Eggs were prepared fresh to order and tasted great. This place is a little humble in appearance - not much curb appeal - but it's clean and cozy and the staff is friendly. I would be a regular if I lived here.

Fantastic place! Savory soups, great sandwiches and cupcakes to die for. Johnny (the owner) is so friendly and makes the cupcakes himself. I told him he should go on "cupcake wars". They are THAT good!!! We will go back again for sure!

Well, it was my first time in here today for a meeting. WOW! The outside really does not remind you much of anything great but man o man. This is a gem! From the start the fact that you sit down and order and they BRING IT TO YOU! You don't see that much anywhere! So I was promptly seated where I saw my friend and we discussed our business. Now, as it was a bit warm outside I saw my friend drinking a chilled chocolate mocha and she was raving that they made it with chocolate milk and the ice cubes were made of coffee so I was sold and ordered that and sure enough was not disappointed. Mind you, I HATE AND ABHORR sweet drinks! But for being made with chocolate milk, it was a perfect yin and yang experience with that drink. My other friend arrived and he ordered the Shrimp Bisque in a bread bowl and me and my other friend used him as a guinea pig to decide what to order, He liked it so my friend ordered one while I ordered the tomato soup. Let me polish up my words on that soup. OH MY GOD THAT HAS TO BE THE BEST TOMATO SOUP I HAVE EVER HAD! No lie, it was creamy, tomato-ey, acidic, smooth, flavorful and the bread that I was served with was even more tasty! Customer service wise: I have not learned either of their names but there's two people there. A young lady and a young bearded man. They made sure to make it feel a bit home-ey, not pushy, had the timing down perfectly and I indeed see them talk to every patron seated! The scenery isn't what I'm used having default back in CA, but their choice of wall decorations and paintings is a good choice. I do like their lighting and parking isn't too much of a pain. Overall solid A+! Friendly, tasty and laid back close to school. Not to mention I didn't spend more than $8 bucks to have a delicious breakfast! Tell me, what else could a college kid want?

The outside does not do justice for the inside, the inside is nicely decorated. The employees were really nice and the food was good. I got the Veggie sandwich which looked pretty big but I was able to eat it all. It didn't have enough filling in it to make me full. The wheat bread was great! Everyone else at our table liked their sandwiches as well and were glad we tried this place out. Overall a great lunch spot.

I came here for a quick lunch one day, and it did not disappoint! The grilled ham and cheese is delicious and the tomato soup is the creamiest tomato soup I've ever had. The wait staff was super friendly and on top of all of that the prices are great! I will definitely be coming back. Perfect for a quick lunch during work hour.

My favorite place to eat. The drinks are to die for. There are so many options for tea and coffee and italian soda. They also have really yummy salads and sandwiches. The Rueben is awesome and so is the strawberry bleu cheese salad. Most notably, the owner serves you and he will always come ask how your food is. He is really sweet and really serious about his food. He makes novelty cupcakes you cant pass up. If I really like someone, this is where I take them to eat.

If you don't like excellent sandwiches, soup, cupcakes or coffee, stay away, cause this place has it all. Everything is fresh and local here. The cupcakes are divine, and Johnny (spelling?)the owner, is great and friendly. I really love the chai here. Made from real chai tea, not that powdery stuff! If you visit you must get the blue-plate special combo, soup or salad and a sandwich? Yes please! Don't forget a cupcake and drink!

The food is awesome. My wife is addicted to the cupcakes. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They even stayed open late one night to let me pick up cupcakes for my sick wife. Definitely try the place. Also, the only place I've found in recent memory that serves soup bread bowls!

It took me years to get around to trying Ville Bella, and it wasn't just the uncertainty of pronunciation that kept me away. It was the location. Actually, the location is pretty good. It's right off of Harrison across from WSU. The problem is that it is surrounded by the kinds of places that make me glad that I cook: Baskin Robbins and Jimmy Johns (formerly, there was a Starbucks, but it evaporated, and, frankly, that fact says much about the loveliness of CVB). Anyway, a friend who works at WSU took me to lunch and schooled me in the ways of (owner) Johnny's awesome, local, fresh, friendly, double awesome food and beverage emporium. I have only been for lunch, and lunch is a sandwich, salad, soup affair. Oh, and what a lusty, saucy affair it is. May I recommend the French dip and the shrimp bisque. "But, Johnny," I say, "do college students really order shrimp bisque?" "They do once they taste it." This, I believe. My goal is to turn him to the Banh Mi side of the force. Even though I have a savory tooth, Johnny's desserts are also awesome. He specializes in cupcakes. He has all the espresso you need, and his wireless is free and fast. Also, if you're into scuttling butts, there's a rumor that his recipes come from his CIA trained wife. This is unverified, but I think about it while I'm chewing. Ogden doesn't have a ton to offer for lunch, so discovering CVB is huge, and apparently it will satisfy all of your breakfast needs as well. The only bad thing I've had there was a tomato on my sandwich ... in Utah ... in January. Rest assured, though, that a few moments chatting with the man who owns and operates the joint will lead to your general satisfaction.

Excellent food! Got the French Onion soup and Philly Cheesesteak. Soup was great and was actually prepared well with a crouton and broiled cheese on top! The cheesesteak comes with whiz (Philly style), but I opted for Provolone. Also great with tons of steak and excellent toasted break. I'll be back for sure!

I love this place. After searching around Ogden for a place to eat after class, I found this gem. I haven't tried any of the drinks here yet but the food is definitely some of the best around. I've basically tried all the soup and sandwiches here already and it's safe to say that my favorite sandwich is the French Dip. This sandwich is the holy grail of sandwiches for me. The bread is extremely soft but not soggy. While the meat is juicy and fresh. I enjoy the shrimp bisque the most out of all the soups but there's a bit too many tomato slices in the soup. The amount of tomatoes vary every time I order but that's fine since everything is cooked fresh when ordered. The French onion soup is also very tasty, however, it is a bit too salty for me. After the delicious meal, I like to enjoy one of their hand-made cupcakes. These things are AMAZING, I had the red velvet cupcake and it had just the right amount of sweetness. The cupcake was solid and didn't break apart when picked up. The inside was fluffy and created this amazing taste with the crispy outside and frosting on top.

Make sure you don't pay with a credit card here!!! Apparently the owner who ran my card felt that he deserved a tip for the cupcakes I bought. I checked my bank account one day after going there and the total charged matched my receipt. Then 2 days later I checked my bank account again and noticed the charge was $1 more. I know its a small amount, but its just surprises me he would be so dishonest. Didn't realize the guy was hurting for money so bad that he would steal from his customers! The cupcakes were great, but I highly recommend paying with cash if you go here.

I just discovered this gem of a Cafe two weeks ago and have been there four maybe five times since. The Sandwiches are made with great quality ingredients and the bread is fresh daily. They make a variety of pastries, cupcakes and great coffee drinks as well. After reading the Yelp reviews I had to stop in and it is just as the reviews say, this place has "Excellent food." I really enjoyed the Cobb Sandwich and the French Onion Soup, both were so delicious I keep coming back for them over and over! Keep in mind the sandwiches and soup, are all hand made and to order, so the review complaining about waiting "eight minutes" for your food, seems a bit unreasonable. I expect to wait a few minutes for my quality food to be made. I highly recommend Cafe Ville Bella for both Breakfast and Lunch, you will not be disappointed. I am a local and this is my new favorite go-to spot for breakfast or lunch!

If you are looking for a spot to eat near Weber St or McKay Dee Hospital then you really need to stop by Cafe Ville Bella. It's right next to Baskin Robins across from Weber St. They carry a selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches that are the best in the area. You can expect to spend between $5-$8 bucks and have a choice of coffee, teas, espresso, or bottled drinks. They also have cupcakes if you want something sweet. My fav is the Buffalo Chicken salad that comes in portion big enough for two. The blue cheese dressing is a must with that. The Chicken Salad sandwich is also very tasty and comes with a side of fresh fruit. Johnny is the owner/manager and is always cheerful when coming in. If you go in the A.M get the breakfast burrito! Enough with people hyping the Beto's breakfast. Cafe Ville Bella is the spot for a casual lunch or study session. . . One thing I forgot to mention is that they have the fastest Wi Fi in town. I have been to everywhere I know that has Wi Fi and they have the best from my experience and CNET's bandwidth speed test.

I've been coming to Cafe Ville Bella for mochas and club sandwiches for over a year now. I haven't been let down yet. The coffee is fresh. The sandwiches are consistently flavorful. I don't care much for turkey, but the turkey club sandwich is divine. The cupcakes are infernally good. And since you're there, you'd better try the shrimp bisque. Its got a bit of a bite to it but is thick and flavorful. Johnny (the owner) is a great guy. He's always pleasant, he remembers me by name, and knows how to tempt me with his cafe's delights. And I'll happily continue eating them.

As my business partner and I walked into Cafe Ville Bella, we were greeted warmly by a strawberry goddess. Almost immediately after our initial coffee order, we were graced with the presence of two of the largest cups of delicious black bean juice. Honestly we were served the largest most delicious toast I've even bitten into in my life. The omelette was divine. The staff were heroic. Cafe bella vita is a tour de force of flavours.

After seeing all the good reviews I tried this place out and I was disappointed. The food was ok but not worth going back a second time. The sandwich I had was average at best.
