The Melting Pot offers a unique atmosphere for a romantic date. The warmly lit interior is complemented by light romantic themed music. My fiancee and I opted for the for course experience. You start with a delicious selection of cheese fondues. We selected the aged cheddar. Our waiter made it fresh at ether take, with a beer base. It had a rich earthy taste, with a hint of spice. For the next course, they offer up one of five salads. I had the house salad with their tangy dressing, and she took a Caesar. Both were beautifully plated and perfectly dressed. For our main fondue, we took the basic broth. For mine, I took the Cajun themed plate. The spices in the rub on each item were delicious. She had the more basic fondue specialties plate. It was easy to see the cuts of meat with them so bare, and it was plain to see they were of superior quality. The final piece of this masterpiece of a meal was the smore fondue. The chocolate they used is to die for. Every bite was heaven. Throughout, our waiter checked in, asking if we ever needed any more dipping item or drinks. Overall one of the best dining experiences I've had. I highly recommend going.

Great food and ambiance. Quite dark, though. Smells a bit of mildew (like the kind you smell in those black rubber mats in the back of a restaurant). You get MORE than full from this meal. It can get pricey, though. Upwards of $125 for two people. The experience makes it worthwhile. You cook your own food in the fondue. Be sure to get the milk chocolate fondue dessert. Nothing beats chocolate covered strawberries and cheesecake!

Best Melting Pot I've been to....And I have been to a lot throughout the country! We came here to celebrate my birthday. Food was excellent as always and we had an awesome waitress named Caroline! She helped make my birthday extra special by giving me some extra blondie dippers for our dessert. Blondies are my FAVORITE!! Thanks Caroline for making my birthday that such sweeter....Literally! We will request you again for our visits in the future!

This is a very romantic place to go for date-night with your spouse. This is the go-to spot for my wife and me to celebrate special occasions. The four course dinner is absolutely scrumptious--definitely bring your appetite. We easily spend 2.5 hours talking and truly connecting during this meal. Minus one star because the restaurant is covered in carpet, which grosses me out. Lots of things fall on the floor in a restaurant...not sure who made that decision...yikes! Definitely make a reservation. My wife and I typically spend $150 on dinner here. Knowing that going in will prevent sticker shock.

Always enjoy my dining experience at The Melting Pot! Due to the richness and length of time involved to get through a whole meal I maybe go once a year, but it's never let me down. A bit on the pricey side but where else are you going to get fondue? Definitely more enjoyable and convenient than making it yourself. Will say though that in all the years it's been in Greenville I don't think the menu has ever really changed...not dramatically that is! Could do for some sprucing up with new combinations/offerings.

We have only gone once but that was due to pricing not food quality. We tried a full 3 course meal and were not let down. We will most likely go back on a special occasion and even bought gift cards as a present for my brother. Everything we had was very tasty! Well worth the price.
Went on the ladies night out, took over 3 hours. Typically it is pretty good, but the pricing was not what we expected from our research online, and it took an unusually long amount of time for the courses to be brought to us. I felt after the last visit (and I have been many times over the years) that I would be OK spending that money on fresh ingredients and making fondue at home. Would recommend just going for dessert for a special treat.

What a wonderful experience! I had the pleasure of taking our daughter and her date for her birthday... This was their first time and the waiter was patient and very good at sharing tips and his own experiences and favorites. The atomosphere is very pleasant and comfortable. Allowing great conversation and time to really share good food and make great memories. A few tips to make your experience a "Great Experience" 1. Their is no such things as a "Dumb" question... just the one you don't ask! (believe me I tested this theory) 2. When you run out of bread or vegetables for your "Cheese Fondue" just ask for more of what ever you need. 3. Same with your Chocolate Fondue (if you need more fruit or dippers just ask). 4. If you are in a hurry... Don't come here for dinner... "This is a good thing... not a bad thing"! Enjoy and relax (I even gave up a Denver Bronco Game... seriously... yep I Love my family) Bon Appetite~

Valentine's Day dinner was PERFECT!!! Cannot go wrong with fondue from this place! My hubby & I have a tradition of visiting The Melting Pot for our anniversaries & birthdays. This particular Melting Pot is as good as any other we've been to. We had excellent service (on a very busy night) and loved all the courses.

My wife and I go to the Melting Pot on occasion to have a date night. It's a great place to have a private mealtime with your spouse. Their food is great however we rarely order it. We come for the fondue desserts, the atmosphere and privacy that you simply don't get with any other restaurant. On our last visit we got the "Flaming Turtle" it was good but not my favorite, That would be the "Bananas Foster" Two, maybe a little known secrets about the Melting Pot to help your experience. 1 When ordering chocolate fondue you can get as many refills on strawberries (and other dippers) as you would like (at least until your chocolates gone) 2 Normally the chocolate fondue runs about $15.99 however during "Happy Hour" which is from 5:30 to 6:30 its $8.99

First time for me doing fondue. Was a bit overwhelmed until date walked me through the process. After that initial intimidation, I was able to relax. The atmosphere, service, food selections, taste & seasonings were outstanding & fun. Best food experience I had during my stay in the Greenville area. I Highly recommend for date night!! Perfect 5 stars

One of our favorites. We've eaten at several melting pot restaurants (apparently they're franchises), but always a good meal. At full price it can be a bit pricey, but totally worth it. If you catch one of their specials, it's a steal. If you want a romantic evening and , frankly, aren't willing to plan too much...you can't go wrong here. Always great personalized service and tasty food. The decor/however, leaves a lot to be desired. The lighting doesn't feel romantic, rather dingy...combined with the color scheme, it had a very 80s feel. Sign up for their online mailing list/club for some great deals. We spent our last anniversary here and they surprised us with some wonderful chocolate covered strawberries and a nice card congratulating us.

I have been to many different melting pots, but none will ever top the dinner we had here. It wasn't the food (which was excellent) or the service, it was the priceless story I can tell now. We were celebrating with a group of friends, and our waiter apparently was new. He was awkward and bumbling, and took forever to do anything. So when we got one of the fondues that have liquor in it, as he was supposed to, the waiter lit the sherry on fire before he poured it into the fondue.Well, apparently he had gotten some of the liquor on himself, and he didn't properly extinguish the flames in the bowl, so he LIT HIS WRIST ON FIRE! And as we're sitting there trying to tell him that he's on fire, he's ignoring us! So finally, we shrugged and said "he'll figure it out eventually," and then the guy finally clued in and put out the flames before he got any lasting damage. I know I sound like an awful person, but that was the best dinner ever.

Growing up in Orlando, I had the privilege of going to the first Melting Pot restaurant as a child. I've been hooked ever since. So when I moved to the upstate, I was happy to see a Melting Pot here too. Reasonably priced, delish, interactive and fun, and romantic. The Pacific Rim platter with the coq-a-vin cooking method is divine. Dozens of different chocolate dessert fondues too. YUM! Highly recommended.

Yummie and cheesy!!!!!!! How great it is we were craving cheese and chocolate. So off we go on an cheese expedition. Its was all that we dreamed of and more. The chocolate was laced with peanut butter, nuts ,Carmel and a shot of Bailie's irish cream.. It was so good we were on a chocolate high we forgot to go to wholefoods and shop for grocerys... Love it but only once or twice a year Great date night dinner, hard to do with Tay and Clay.. Had mucho fun.

The Greenville location of the Melting Pot is pretty standard. While this is the kind of place that can be fun with a group, sharing two pots between 10 people was just a little too much chaos for my taste. A group of ladies from work chose this place as a destination for Ladies Night. On the first Monday of the month, you can get their ladies' night special for like $35, which includes four courses and two drinks. It is a decent deal, but the drink selections were not great and the fact that 10 of us had to share two pots was annoying. The hardest part of this came when it was time to cook the entrees. Our oil could not stay warm enough to keep up with the high demand, and the other pot with mojo sauce was half gone before the night was through. The batter was pretty much worthless on the oil side, since the oil wasn't hot enough to really cook anything quickly enough. We had raviolis to cook as well, which were disappointing in both sauces because they would not stay on the skewers. You had the option of a rescue spoon for the mojo, but you had to try to fish them out with the skewers in the oil, which was difficult and messy. Now, the quality of the sauces was decent. We ordered the regular cheddar and the spinach artichoke cheddar. Both came with plenty of accoutrements to dip in the cheese and both the cheeses were tasty and delish. The salads, while small, were tasty. I ordered Spinach Mushroom - YUMMO! The dressing was amazing on it. As I mentioned, we ordered the Mojo style and Bourguignonne for the entree. I would do the Mojo again in a heartbeat - great citrusy and garlicy flavors abounded in that broth! Each of us got a combo of shrimp, beef, chicken, and ravioli to cook in the sauces. As I mentioned before, I don't recommend the Bourguignonne when cooking with a larger group, as the oil just can't stay hot enough. Finally, the Flaming turtle and plain milk chocolate were fabulous, with great little dippers (particularly the regular and chocolate-dusted marshmallows, which were amazeballs). I ordered a cosmo for both my drinks, which was just a typical cosmo and nothing special. The other selections were other house wines, which did not sound appealing. Overall, Melting Pot is fun, but beware of coming here with a big group.

Great for a date. A little pricy for dipping pieces of cheese, bread and veggies into cheese, but its fun every once in a while. It is good, but I have left here a little hungry. The décor is a little dated, they could do for some up dates, they've got to make enough "cheese" for upgrades:)
