This place is one of the cleanest take out/Asian restaurants that I've ever been to. I ordered what I always order from Asian restaurants, the Buddhist vegetarian platter. The tofu, which is why I didn't give a five star rating, was way too soft and mushy. If I try this place again, I won't have a dish with tofu. The vegetables and sauce were spot on and the portion was huge.

wtf Yelpers??? You have let me down with your many-star reviews. This is NOT a restaurant, it's a take out place. Yes there are hard metal chairs and cheap tables to sit at but no waitress or dishes or glasses, you order upfront and take carry out styrofoam to your table. Fluorescent lights, loud soda cooler, and always-on tv that no one watches really tops off the atmosphere. Also: Asian fusion? No. This is your run of the mill Chinese-for-Americans menu. Sigh

Delicious, made to order chinese food with huge portions. Egg Rolls are some of best I've ever had. Got enough food leftover for second meal later. Worth the price, friendly service. Will be going again.

I ordered several things because I wanted to sample the menu. Of the four or five things I ordered the only good thing was the crab Rangoon. I would not go back to this place for anything other than crab Rangoon, but that's kind of a silly thing to get by itself.

I've eaten here many a night. The Mongolian Beef extra spicy is my favorite. The price compared to the portions are generous. The owner is very friendly and the place is clean.

Had given up on this place nearly a year ago, but relented and returned this evening as a matter of convenience. Was surprised to find out they'd updated the place, new wall coverings, new menus - sushi and Thai food as well now. Ordered take out for 4 - orange chicken, General Tsao, fried rice and Chicken Cashew Ding. 4 egg rolls and 4 fortune cookies - nearly $30. While waiting 20 minutes, noticed signs up saying 50 cents for each extra packet of sauce! Yikes, that seems high for those little packs of soy, hot mustard and duck sauce. Anyway, got home, and it was all still pretty hot - they pack it up well. However, mine, the cashew ding - had no cashews, not a few, none. But it was good other than not having any cashews. Egg rolls were very good. So were the other orders, all pretty good. So, the guy who took my order was also very polite and courteous - the last time we went there, the gal who worked the desk had been so rude when we'd gotten bad food that we vowed to never returned. I was told she was on vacation - out of the country. So we will go back several times really soon :)

If you live on the north side of Lexington, then you owe it to yourself to have Asia Cafe's takeout menu handy, perfect for those nights when nothing but a big bowl of sweet and hot chicken with fried rice will do. The service here is prompt--even large orders are usually cooked and ready within 15 minutes--and the prices are scandalously low for the amount of food you get. Now this isn't a buffet, but it's worth eating through the small menu to make sure you get the all-around experience.
