The food court at Chicago Premium Outlets did not look promising, so I tried to make the best of a bad situation by hitting up Maki. It was OK. I grabbed a Teriyaki plate, partially in the hopes of getting my daughter to like teriyaki. I think it's fair to say that it wasn't terrible, but it was quite a bit greasy. And somewhat lacking in flavor. The teriyaki sauce didn't really help the flavor at all. But the veggies were cooked, and the meat was tender. So there was that at least. If you're ever out in Aurora and am looking for a place to grab lunch, Maki isn't a bad compromise. Especially if you've got a really good parking spot.

I'm giving this a 2.5 because the food court selection sucks at this mall. I prefer this one over the other Asian one next to it because the food just looks fresher and the veggies look like veggies. Plus, their teriyaki chicken tastes better than the competitor's Cajun chicken or whatever it's called. Though, I'd rather eat at a subway.

I do not really have much to say about this place. It is the typical fast food Japanese restaurant in the food court of a mall. Nothing I would go out of my way to order, but quick and easy. It serves it's purpose. The meal was enough to fill up me and a friend. I do not like that they will not give you a glass of water here. You have to order a bottle of water...

Working in the outlet mall you pretty much have no good choice of food to eat. This is probably the best place there albeit it's not that great. I only come here because they have sushi. It's prepackaged sushi and it's decent but its not the best i've ever had. It does satisfy my sushi addiction enough to get me through the work day. I have never had one of their meals but have tried a sample of their chicken and it was pretty good. The staff is great and they are always friendly. They almost never have a line so that's a bonus on the weekends when the mall is busy.

I had the sushi, and it was very average. Ever had sushi from Jewel? If yes, expect the same quality. If no, just mosey on along, nothing to see here. I am questioning the freshness of their fish tonight, as I have been queasy since lunch. I also question the value, as I got the "Expert combo," which was just over $7, but the "Beginner combo," for just over $6 featured a LOT more food. I am not sure (after I ate) what I paid more for. They do have a menu that reminds me of Panda Express (the only other restaurant I could compare to Maki of Japan), and that seemed to be what everyone in line was ordering--I guess I missed the memo. I won't be returning.
